he words we all use to connect every day are essential in every facet of our lives. From relaxing, to working, to studying, to taking checks, we employ words to see others the way you feel, whatever we think, and why we think that way. Without words, it can be difficult to show our ways to the rest of the world. The greater words we know—the greater our vocabulary—the more evidently we can contact others. Each of our vocabularies reveal our expertise to the community; therefore , a person having a large vocabulary has the advantage of self-expression. This book will help you understand words you need to know to successfully express yourself at school, work, and your personal lifestyle. The words with this book have already been carefully chosen to help you master what you need to know to any test—from standardized testing, to civil service tests, to college entry exams, and professional task interviews—and continue to build your language, even once you have finished making use of this book. In each of the pursuing chapters, you will complete practice exercises that have been created specifically to help you understand words within. You will learn pronunciation, spelling, circumstance, definitions, word parts, denotation and meaning, synonyms, and antonyms. The word lists will be grouped in categories, so that you will be able to affiliate them with like words and remember them more easily. There is also a crossword puzzle at the outset of chapters 14–18 to introduce you to the new words before you begin to work on the practice physical exercises.
